When Leslie Sorg found out she needed a heart transplant, she turned to HelpHopeLive to help her get through the ordeal.
HelpHopeLive is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping transplant patients and catastrophic injury patients raise funds for their medical expenses.
HelpHopeLive asked us to help tell Leslie’s story because it paints a picture of hope and is representative of the thousands of patients they have assisted.
We let Leslie tell her story, with assistance from her social care worker, sister, brother and son. The result is a poignant and very personal short film that explains what HelpHopeLive is, through the experience of someone who has lived it.
We shot the film over four days using a small crew so that it wasn’t intimidating for the people on camera. Here it is.
